Questions buyers ask

What is a crane grillage?

A steel frame that spreads a tower crane's loads into its foundation or into the building structure it stands on.

What types of crane grillage do you make?

All types, made to order: internal, external and foundation grillages, including for complex sites with unusual requirements.

Are grillages trial fitted before delivery?

Yes. Every grillage is fully trial fitted in our workshop with its crane feet, stools and jigs.

Do you design the grillage?

No. We fabricate to the design from the crane supplier or the project engineer.

What testing is done?

Welds are tested by ultrasonic testing (UT) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI), as the engineer's drawings specify.

How fast can you turn a grillage around?

Typically 4 to 6 weeks from approved issued-for-fabrication (IFF) drawings, depending on complexity and our workload.
